Leadership

Members of the Board of Directors, leading the way with the belief that every animal deserves a chance at a loving home.

President - I have been in animal welfare for more than 30 years. I am expecially fond of our community cat programs, helping to make the lives of free roaming cats better through TNR. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and hanging out with my old aussie girl "Samantha". I am so grateful to be part of this wonderful organization. Here is to another 25 years AFRP!
Vice President
Secretary/Treasurer - My roots on the peninsula and passion for animals go deep.  After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, I returned to my hometown and opened a Doggy Daycare & Grooming business. I’ve been a volunteer and foster with AFRP for 12 years, and have so far fostered 130 dogs. Four of my five dogs are "foster fails". Boomer, Betty, Bailey, Blue and Bella are affectionately referred to as the "B-Team". They often attend events with me as AFRP "Alumni". Besides hanging out with my dogs, I love doing anything creative like painting, sewing, and photography. As a volunteer, I enjoy planning & hosting events, public speaking, fundraising, and really anything involving the dogs. I'm honored to serve as the Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of the Board of Directors, in addition to fostering for AFRP.

Board Member - My career has been in business consulting for years in the Silicon Valley, but my passion is working with non profit organizations, especially animal rescue.  I have always had dogs and cats as part of the family, going back to childhood in Chicago. I discovered AFRP years back when we adopted Rocket, our incredibly adorable little girl.  Rocket was only 8 weeks old when AFRP rescued her, and we will always be grateful to this wonderful organization for saving her life!
Board Member - Hi I'm Angie and I am the fundraising chair. I have been volunteering with many different dog and cat rescues and shelters since I was in 6th grade. Being apart of AFRP is truly rewarding watching dogs grow up in foster homes vs the shelter is quite a different experience. I enjoy creating events and connecting with community members during fundraising and adoption events. If you ever have an idea for a fundraiser please feel free to reach out. I love the outdoors and spending time with AFRPs Chief Barking Officer Pickles aka my pup.
Welcome our newest board member!
