Looking for a Home

Poor Chester - he was a stray running loose and nobody told him to look both ways before crossing the street. Fortunately AFRP was able to get Chester treatment for his broken leg. His cast is now off, he's all healed and is eager for a family of his own. Won't you give this happy 10-12 month old shepherd mix pup the second chance he's looking for? Read more about Chester.

Gas Prices are Rising - Help Us Go that Extra Mile!
With gas prices pushing $4.00 per gallon and rising, we are in desperate need of donations and prepaid gas cards to help us keep our Life Link Transportation program thriving. In the past few months alone, the Life Link Program has saved the lives of over 400 at-risk dogs and cats, moving them from crowded shelters to animal welfare organizations that are eagerly awaiting them. With your help, we can continue to go that extra mile for dogs and cats that need our help. To make a donation, please click here.

Moving? Check Local Pet-Friendly Listings
Home foreclosures are on the rise, and everyone who rents knows how difficult it is to find a place to live that accepts pets. Sadly, housing difficulties are one of the main reasons companion animals are surrendered to shelters. AFRP has compiled a list of local pet-friendly landlords and property management companies to assist you with your housing search. If you are a property manager of a pet-friendly rental, please let us know and we'll be happy to add you to our list. Click here to read more.

Once her kittens grew up and found homes, Sweetie wondered if her turn for a home would come. As fate would have it, Sweetie not only found a home, she found a home at a pet-friendly inn in Carmel!
