What a survivor! After helping people evacuate from the River Fire in August, a Good Samaritan returned home and discovered two little furry hitchhikers that had sought refuge from the fires in her car engine – Zuko and his sister Korra. Raised in foster care, 3-month-old Zuko is a very sweet but timid kitten that can be shy when you first meet him, but he warms up once he feels comfortable. He has been raised with gentle kids over age 6, and with friendly dogs and cats. Zuko will do best with a patient and experienced adopter that can give him time to blossom at his own pace. A quieter household will be the best fit. Zuko and Korea would like to be adopted together. They are currently at our Pet Food Express adoption location at the Crossroads in Carmel. To arrange a meet and greet, please fill out an online application.

Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
