Violet is a sweet and gentle 12-year-old brown tabby that was adopted from AFRP as a kitten, and  returned to our care when her guardian had to move to a senior living facility. Violet is a happy, affectionate, talkative and curious cat that will be a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a mellow feline friend. She is a wonderful lap cat and enjoys being near her person.  She gets along with other friendly cats and might do okay with a gentle, respectful dog. Give Violet a soft blanket and gentle petting, and she is in kitty heaven!

Violet is in good health though she does have a condition known as Chronic Feline Rhinitis. This common condition is likely due to a non-fatal virus she acquired as a kitten. This causes Violet to experience congestion, nasal discharge and sneezing. As a result, Violet’s adopter will need to work closely with their veterinarian to monitor Violet’s health and prescribe a course of treatment when necessary.  Meet and greets can be arranged once an application is approved.
