Prepare to fall in love! Valentino is a sleek and shiny 1-year-old tuxedo cat that will charm you with his fun, active and affectionate personality. Valentino came to AFRP from the Monterey SPCA when they needed to make space for evacuees from the wildfires in Monterey County. He was quickly adopted, but recently returned to our program because he was bullying the dog in his home. This handsome boy is very confident and people-oriented, and he likes to soak up attention, play with toys, run and climb. He’s looking for an adopter with time to initiate several vigorous play sessions per day, along with having interactive toys on hand for when he’s on his own. Valentino can become overstimulated during long petting sessions, so he’d do best with a savvy cat person that can read his signals and can redirect him to a toy when he wants to play rough. Adult adopter or family with kids over 12 preferred. He’ll do best as a single pet in the household or with dogs or cats that enjoy a rough and rowdy playmate. He would love a home with a catio or someone to teach him to walk on harness and leash. Valentino is currently at our Pet Food Express adoption location.
