Hi, I'm Sunny. I was adopted on March 26!

Hound Mix

White and Tan

Young, Female

With a cheerful personality that will light up your life, Sunny is a 10-month-old, 32-pound mixed breed pup with loads of happy energy. She came to AFRP with a broken front leg, which has healed beautifully. After spending 6 weeks of crate rest while healing, Sunny is ready to make up for lost time! She is an affectionate, smart and responsive dog that is easy to train and eager to please. She is house trained and knows sit, down, shake, go in crate, and has good recall. She is very excited to meet new people, and she is working on not jumping up to say hello. She loves playing with other dogs with a similar size and energy level, and she’d love to have a playful dog buddy (over 20 pounds-she plays rough) in her new home. Sunny is a VERY high-energy dog and she’s looking for an active adopter that is a hiker, runner or brisk walker that can meet her exercise requirements – this dog can run all day long! Sunny is not an apartment dog, and a securely fenced yard is a must. Due to her size and energy level, she’s looking for an adult adopter or family with kids over age 10, and a household with no cats. She is a puppy in the chewing stage, so supervision, appropriate chew toys and a plan for obedience training is required. For more information or to arrange a meet and greet, please fill out an online application.

Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
