Hi, I'm Snowy. I was adopted on September 16!
Havanese Mix
Cream and Tan
Young, Male
The forecast is Snowy! This sweet and playful 9-month-old, 14-pound Havanese mix (best guess) will bring a flurry of smiles and cuddles to your life! He is an energetic pup that lost his home when his guardians could no longer care for him. He came to AFRP after showing signs of severe kennel stress at the SPCA. Happily, Snowy is doing great in foster care and he’s quickly forgetting his unsettling past. He loves to play with other dogs and it a requirement for him to go to an adopter with another friendly mentor dog in the household. Snowy is wary of new people at first, so it is important to take it slow to help him build confidence. With treats and gentle petting, he warms right up. Snowy is a smart and eager pup that is crate trained, house trained and enjoys riding in the car. He’ll do best in an adult household or a family with gentle kids over age 12. This is not a dog for a first time dog owner. He needs an adopter with experience with shy/fearful dogs, and understands the importance of giving him a few weeks to decompress and adjust to his new home. He’ll need regular professional grooming to keep his coat in good shape. Meet and greets with Snowy can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.
