Hi, I'm Shiitake. I was adopted on April 6!

Baby, Female

Double the love, double the fun – Shiitake and her brother Enoki need to be adopted as a pair! These 3-month-old siblings were rescued by a concerned citizen after being born to a feral mother cat. Once brought into our program, they tested positive for ringworm, a fungal skin condition that required many weeks of treatment to resolve, but Shiitake is now completely healed and healthy! She is becoming more outgoing every day, and once she gets to know you she is an incredibly affectionate kitten that loves attention and lap time. She enjoys playing with her toys and carrying them around in her mouth. She gets along well with other friendly adult cats. Shiitake is an energetic kitten that sometimes needs redirection from play-biting, and she’ll do best in an adult household or a family with kids over age 6. Shiitake and Enoki are currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once an application is approved.

Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
