Hi, I'm Sammie. I was adopted on September 4!

Brussels Griffon

Brown

Adult, Male

Sweet Sammie is a 5-year-old, 16-pound Brussels Griffon that loves to snuggle on laps! He’s a people dog through and through and follows you around the house so you’ll always be nearby. Sammie came to AFRP after being surrendered to a local vet clinic with some health problems. He has recovered from an episode of pancreatitis, and it will be helpful for him to stay on a low fat, gastrointestinal diet to prevent future flare-ups of this condition. Sammie is a mellow, gentle and affectionate boy that will melt your heart with his soulful brown eyes. He is currently in foster care with older kids and another dog, and he gets along with everyone. He seems to be respectful of cats as well. Sammie rides nicely in the car and he enjoys walks around the neighborhood. He is a low-energy dog that does not require lots of daily exercise. Sammie is house trained and well-mannered. His ideal adopter would be someone that can spend lots of time with him at home, and has the resources to monitor his health.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are giving priority to local applicants that live in Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
