Hi, I'm Ruby. I was adopted on October 31!

Yorkshire Terrier Mix

Black and Tan

Adult, Female

Truly a little miracle dog, Ruby is an 8-year-old, 9-pound Yorkshire Terrier that recovered from an extremely complex surgery to remove a grapefruit-sized benign tumor from her abdomen. The mass was attached to her colon, bladder and kidneys. Happily, the tumor was safely removed and after spending the past few months in foster care, Ruby has gotten her wag back! Ruby is full of happy energy and she wants to spend every moment with her person. She loves to go for walks and adventures, and hates to be left behind! Ruby gets along with other dogs as long as they understand that she is the boss. Puppies are not her favorite, due to their energy level, but she could live nicely with other respectful adult dogs. Terriers can be strong willed, and an adopter with previous terrier experience is a plus. Ruby came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services, and she’s ready to spend many wonderful years with a family of her own. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved.
