Hi, I'm Rosie. I was adopted on April 29!
Chihuahua
Tan
Young, Female
Rosie is a teeny-tiny 8-month-old Chihuahua pup that tips the scales at only 2.5 pounds – roughly the size of a 10 week-old kitten. Despite her extra-small size, she’s a happy, playful and bright puppy that enjoys romping with other small dogs and playing with her toys. Rosie came to AFRP from a local emergency clinic after being surrendered as a very sick and weak 7-week-old. Nurtured in foster care, Rosie slowly recovered her strength and now she’s feeling great. This is an extremely small and fragile dog, and great care must be taken to keep her safe. She needs a home with no children, no large dogs, and ramps or stairs to help her get on and off furniture. A jump from a high place could actually result in a fractured limb for a dog this small. An adopter with small dog experience is a plus. Meet and greets can be arranged once an online application is approved.
Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
