Hi, I'm Rambler. Adopt Me!

Pembroke Welsh Corgi Mix

Blue Merle

Adult, Male

Rambler is a 4-year-old, 20-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix looking for a calm adult household. Contrary to his name, Rambler is content to be a homebody – he enjoys a cozy bed and a sunny backyard. He is a somewhat aloof dog that does not like a lot of commotion or too many people around him. He prefers not to be picked up, and he enjoys petting on his own terms. Currently in foster care after coming to AFRP when his owner could no longer care for him, Rambler is house trained, crate trained, and gets along fine with other polite dogs (unknown with cats). This medium-energy boy does have his playful moments, and he enjoys chasing toys and tossing them into the air. He is good on leash but can get startled and uneasy when there is too much commotion going on. He finds rides in the car to be very stressful, he shakes and drools. Rambler is perfectly happy staying home in his familiar surroundings. He is very wary of children and will growl at them if they move too quickly. He’s looking for a quiet adult household or a family with gentle and dog-savvy teens. Rambler’s adopter needs to be willing to work with a professional trainer if behavior issues arise. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved. We are only giving consideration to applicants in Monterey County, Santa Cruz County and San Benito County.
