Hi, I'm Percival. I was adopted on February 19!

Medium Mixed Breed

White

Adult, Male

Just like his knightly namesake, Percival is on a quest! This 2-year-old, 54-pound mixed breed seeks the ultimate Holy Grail – a home of his own and a lifetime of belly rubs! Percy was a staff and volunteer favorite at the Hitchcock Road Animal Services, yet he was having trouble getting adopted. At the last moment, he was saved when an AFRP foster home opened up for him. Percy quickly adjusted to his new life in foster care, gleefully romping with new dog friends and exploring his big back yard. This smart boy is very treat motivated and easy to train. He is doing great with his potty training and crate training, and he loves to go for rides in the car. He’s an affectionate boy that loves to flop down at your feet or sit next to you for petting and belly rubs. Percy is a very active and energetic dog that needs an adopter that is a serious walker, hiker or jogger. He will do best in a household with another playful and active dog friend in the home or have the opportunity to attend doggie day care or visit the dog park for social visits. He can hardly contain his happy energy, which means he does jump up when excited and he needs to work on his leash manners. He’s looking for an experienced adult adopter or a family with kids over age 12 that can give him lots of love and can unlock his potential by continuing his training and socialization. Meet and greets with Percy can be arranged once your adoption application has been received and approved. Percy’s adoption fee has been pre-paid by a generous sponsor!
