Hi, I'm Penny. I was adopted on March 16!

Not ready to adopt?
Penny is currently Sponsored by:
Penny is a darling copper-colored 2-year-old, 8-pound Miniature Pinscher mix with lots of happy energy! She will run circles around you and she will do best in an active household familiar with the demands of this small yet mighty breed. Penny is an extremely agile and athletic dog that will require a very secure yard due to her jumping prowess. She's a little velcro dog that follows her foster mom all over the house, and she sometimes gets underfoot so would not be a good match for a senior or unsteady adopter. She's a smart little dog and has already learned to sit when asked, and she's learning the cue "back" to keep her from bolting through a doorway. She learns quickly and will be a star in obedience classes! She is doing well with her potty training and she has not had an accident in her crate. Penny knows to bark when she needs to go outside for a break. Penny gets along wth other dogs of all sizes and genders, and her high energy level will make her a wonderful running or hiking partner. (She needs a home with no cats.) She will do best in an adult household or a family with kids over 12 and another playful dog friend in the home. Penny is currently in foster care and she's available for meet and greets. The first step is to fill out an online application.
Please note: Due to COVID-19 preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
