Puppy love! This 3-month-old, 30-pound Shar-Pei/Shepherd mix loves to play with his puppy friends and spend time with his people. Pecan is one of 7 puppies raised in foster care after their mother came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services as a pregnant stray. He loves romping with his siblings and playing with stuffed toys, rope toys and tug toys. He’s a very bright pup that learns quickly and is working on his potty training. This friendly boy greets everyone he meets with puppy wags and enthusiasm! We are guessing that Pecan might weigh about 80 – 90 pounds as an adult dog. He gets along nicely with the other small dogs in his foster home, but has not had experience with cats. He’s looking for an adopter that can continue his training, take him to puppy obedience classes, and make him an integral  part of the family for his lifetime. Due to his size and energy level, adult household or family with kids over age 8 preferred. Meet and greets can be arranged after your online application has been approved.
