What a lover boy! Norman is a 2-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua mix that will make you feel like the most special person in the world when he gazes at you with his adoring brown eyes. This happy and well-socialized little dog loves people of all genders, and he’s a joy to walk on the leash. This smart little dog arrived in foster care without any previous training, and he’s already learned his name and has mastered sit, down and leave it. He is doing great with his house training and learns quickly with positive praise and food rewards. Norman gets along fine with other dogs and in time he could learn to be trusted with cats. Norman came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Shelter and he’s currently in foster care. His ideal adopter would be able to spend plenty of time with him and continue his training. He has a bit of separation anxiety and he’ll do well with someone that can leave him for short periods and work up to longer absences. He will likely be fine with children over age 8.
