When she’s not sitting on your lap, she’s following you around the house and sitting by your feet. Missy Marie was in rough shape when she came to AFRP after being picked up as a stray mom dog at a homeless encampment in Salinas, but good food, medicated baths and some dental extractions have helped her regain good health after raising seven adorable puppies in foster care. Missy Marie never got any formal training in her previous life, but she is doing well with learning house training skills and leash manners. She gets along with other dogs but sometimes gives a warning bark when meeting someone new. Missy Marie is a wonderful match for anyone that enjoys a super-affectionate dog. She will need additional training and an adopter that can monitor her dental health. Due to her petite size, adult adopter or family with older gentle kids preferred.
