Social butterfly! Mamacita is a super-friendly 10-month-old tortoiseshell who never tires of being petted and rubbed. This affectionate cat came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services as a young homeless mother with three young kittens to care for. Now that her kittens are weaned, Mamacita is ready for a home of her own. She’s a fun, playful and friendly girl that will do best in a household where she has people and lap time available much of the day. Mamacita is friendly when meeting new people and she adjusts easily to new situations. She tolerates the friendly dog in her foster home. Mamacita likes playing with toys but she enjoys being petted even more! Mamacita is a very active cat and she can play rough and get a bit mouthy at times. She’ll do best with an experienced cat person that can gently redirect her behavior when necessary. She’ll do best with adults or cat-savvy older kids or teens.  Mamacita is currently at our Petco adoption location at the Del Monte Center in Monterey. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.
