Meet Maia! This emerald-eyed 6-month-old torbie is a smart, affectionate and playful young cat that had a rough start in life and is ready for a second chance. Born to a stray mother cat in a shed near an ag field, the farm workers fed the kitty family but became alarmed when a coyote began to pick them off one by one. A kind cat lover took Maia home to keep her safe, and now she’s ready for her forever family. Maia has a happy purr when you stroke her fur and scratch her neck. She can be shy with new people, but once she gets to know you she is a fun and friendly companion. She gets along nicely with other gentle dogs and cats. Maia is a good match for a kind and patient adopter that will give her time to adjust to new surroundings. Adult adopter or family with gentle kids over age 12 preferred. Meet and greets can be arranged once an application is approved.
