Looking for a best friend? So is Luna! This sweet and gentle 2-year-old, 54-pound sweetheart loves spending time with her people, whether it’s going for a walk, riding in the car, or simply sleeping by your feet. Luna came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services after being picked up as a stray. Currently in foster care, Luna has blossomed into a fabulous companion dog. She is house trained, leash trained and she’s working on crate training (she would rather be loose with you). She’s a quiet, mellow and easygoing dog that will excel at obedience training, as she is eager to please and is very treat-motivated. Luna gets along great with other dogs of all sizes, and prefers to play with other dogs close to her same size. A bit shy with new people and new situations, Luna warms up quickly with treats and gentle petting. She can be a bit anxious when left alone, and she will do best in a household with people home most of the day, or with someone that can take her to work with them.
