Hi, I'm Lucky. I was adopted on May 10!
Terrier Mix
Brown
Adult, Female
Lucky is the perfect name for this darling 1-year-old, 22-pound terrier mix that was one of three dogs that made a miraculous recovery after a tragic case of carbon monoxide poisoning in December. Barely responsive at first, Lucky has made great strides and she’s now a happy, puppy-like sweetheart that loves everyone she meets and enjoys playing ball. She still has a few challenges with her balance, but she is improving every day. Lucky seems grateful for her second chance, and her foster mom says she does not want to waste a second – the busier her day, the better! She’s and energetic dog that does well with regular exercise, play time and plenty of interaction with her people.
Lucky is house trained to use a doggy door, and she gets along nicely with other dogs friends. Lucky rarely barks, and she takes direction well and is eager to please. Lucky will sleep in her crate, but she prefers a soft doggie bed near you at night. She is a super sweet dog that is all about licks and tail wags. A unique trait? When she is scared or nervous the dark stripe of fur down her back will stand straight up! Lucky’s best match will a home with people around most of the day, a doggie door, a furry companion, no stairs, and kids over age 8. She’s looking for an adopter that will continue her basic obedience training. For more information or to arrange a meet and greet, please fill out an online application.
Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
