Hi, I'm Juniper. I was adopted on June 28!
German Shorthaired Pointer Mix
Brown and White
Baby, Female
Juniper is a high-energy 2-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix puppy that was raised in foster care with her mother Tippy and her six siblings. She will likely weigh 60-70 pounds as an adult. Juniper loves hugs and belly rubs – her foster mom calls her a big teddy bear! Juniper is working on her potty training and knows the commands sit and down. She is learning to come when called and to walk on the leash. She’s very focused on other dogs and she’d love having another playful dog pal in her new home. She loves treats, chew toys, and enjoys learning new things. She has not been exposed to cats.
German Shorthaired Pointers are known for being an extremely high-energy breed. A walk around the block is simply a warm-up for these dogs. They require serious daily walking, running, hiking, swimming or joining you for bike rides. They can be vocal and are not good apartment dogs. Obedience training is a must to prevent unwanted destructive behaviors. Due to their very bouncy and rowdy natures, they are not a good match for young children or older adults. These pups might be great candidates for agility training or advanced obedience training. If you are looking for a mellow couch potato, this dog is NOT for you! Juniper is looking for an adopter that can spend time with her and continue her training. She is currently in foster care and meet and greets can be arranged ONLY after your online application has been approved.
Due to COVID and high demand, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
