Hi, I'm Josie. I was adopted on February 19!

Medium Mixed Breed

Gray and White

Baby, Female

If puppy kisses and tail wags make your heart sing, you’ll love Josie! This lovable 2-month-old, 13-pound mixed breed puppy was bottle fed in foster care after coming to AFRP from the Santa Cruz County Animal Services when she was only two weeks old. We guess she will weigh about 50 pounds as an adult dog. Josie’s foster mom says you won’t find a happier, sweeter puppy! She loves every person she meets, and she is comfortable with dogs of all sizes. (She has not had experience with cats.) When Josie is not busy playing with her toys, she’s happy to cuddle on the nearest lap or take a puppy nap on a soft dog bed.  This smart girl is doing well with her potty training and walks nicely on her harness and leash. She’s looking for an adopter that can continue her formal obedience training and can make her a beloved part of the family. Josie developed Carpal Flexural Deformity as a youngster, but happily this condition is resolving over time. It is a hyperextension in the dog’s wrist area that sometimes happens when puppies grow rapidly. Our vet is monitoring Josie’s progress as she improves. Meet and greets with Josie can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved.
