Hay Hay, also known as Scruffy, is a darling 8-month-old, 10-pound Chihuahua-Pomerainan mix pup (DNA test done) with lots of wags and kisses to share with a person of his own. He’s an affectionate little guy that loves lap time, going for walks and taking rides in the car with you. Scruffy is currently in foster care after losing his home due to some house training issues. Happily, once put on a schedule and taken outside regularly, Scruffy is well on his way to being house trained. He sleeps in his crate at night, and he gets along nicely with other friendly dogs. He loves to chew, as puppies do, and he enjoys tackling his chew toys and Kong. Scruffy is generally a quiet dog but he will bark at intruders. He can be fearful of  loud noises or too much commotion, and he’ll do well with a patient adopter that can continue to expose him to new things and show him that the world is not a scary place. Adult household or family with gentle older kids preferred. Scruffy is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved.

Due to COVID and high demand, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
