Hi, I'm Dusty. I was adopted on July 15!
Terrier Mix
Tan and White
Adult, Male
Dusty is a friendly and playful 3-year-old, 20-pound terrier mix that came to AFRP from the Monterey County Animal Services. If you are an avid hiker or you simply need a buddy for your long walks or runs, Dusty is the dog for you! He is a fun, high-energy boy that needs plenty of daily activity. Since being found as a stray, Dusty has come a long way in foster care. He is very affectionate and loves everyone he meets. Dusty sleeps soundly in his crate but would prefer to be loose and with you during the day. Dusty is potty trained and he is excellent at alerting you when he needs to go out. This “diamond in the ruff” has a great temperament but he needs an adopter that can help him brush up on his manners. A patient, dog-savvy adopter with the time to teach basic obedience would be ideal. He needs to learn how to properly meet and play with other dogs – he’s an overzealous greeter but with gentle correction and plenty of exercise he settles right down. He’ll do best in a home with no cats and no children. He can be reactive when startled. Dusty is currently in foster care and he’s available for meetings. The first step is to fill out an online application.
