Hi, I'm Diesel. I was adopted on December 23!
Border Collie
Black and White
Young, Male
Diesel a friendly and playful 4-month-old, 13-pound Border Collie puppy that will likely weigh 40 – 5o pounds as an adult. True to his breed, Diesel is bright, attentive and learns quickly. He loves treats, chew toys and dog toys of all sorts. When he’s done playing, he loves to cuddle with his person for a nice nap. He’s an energetic pup that gets along with other easygoing dogs. He is doing great with his house training, with reminders. Diesel is one of a large group of dogs that were living in poor conditions and were confiscated by animal control. Currently in foster care, Diesel is ready to leave the past behind him and become a shining star in a family of his own. He’s looking for an experienced adopter that can keep him both mentally and physically active. Diesel walks nicely on the leash and he’s learning to sit, stay and other basic obedience. Herding breeds are working dogs, and without work they can become bored. Diesel needs plenty of daily activity and might be a great candidate for agility training, herding or other dog sports. This breed can tend to “herd” kids by nipping at heels, so an adult adopter or family with kids over age 10 would be best. Diesel is currently in foster care. Please note: Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
