Hi, I'm Curly. I was adopted on September 14!

English Bulldog

White-Red

Baby, Male

Curly is an amiable and adorable 6-month-old, 32-pound English Bulldog pup that makes new friends wherever he goes! He’s an exceptionally sweet and gentle dog that loves people and gets along with other dogs of all sizes, genders and ages. Sheltering-in-place with this silly and entertaining pup is a natural mood-elevator and stress buster!  Curly came to AFRP from the Monterey County Animal Shelter with some eye issues needing medical attention. He has now recovered from surgery to correct Cherry Eye, but due to some tear duct issues, Curly will need eye lubricants applied daily to keep his eyes healthy and moist for his lifetime. Curly is crate trained and he’s working on his house training skills. He walks nicely on the leash and enjoys rides in the car. At night, Curly is happy to sleep in his crate for 8 hours, contentedly snoring all the while. English Bulldogs are easygoing dogs that do best with moderate exercise and a cool climate. They are known for being one of the more expensive dog breeds to care for. Curly will need regular 6-month eye health checks and eye medication for his lifetime. He’s looking for a bulldog-experienced adopter that can give him a lifetime of love, companionship and consistent health care. Curly is currently in foster care and he’s available for meet and greets. The first step is to fill out an online application.

Due to COVID-19, preference is given to residents of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County.
