Beach baby! Clarissa is a 2-year-old, 14-pound poodle mix that loves to join her foster family for trips to the ocean, where she enjoys exploring her surroundings and meeting people and dogs. Clarissa came to AFRP from the Hitchcock Road Animal Services after coming in as a timid stray. Since then, she has blossomed into a dog that can still be a bit shy with new people, but once she gets to know you she’s a delightful dog that gets along nicely with other dogs, cats and children. Clarissa is doing well with her house training skills, and she walks nicely on the leash. She’s looking for an adopter that can continue her training and teach her basic obedience commands and manners. Clarissa is calm in the house, and becomes very active and playful when in the back yard or on the beach. She’s a warm and affectionate dog that is a great match for a family that can provide regular professional grooming and can continue to help her build confidence. Meet and greets can be arranged once an application is approved.
