Hi, I'm Captain Jack. Adopt Me!

Black/White

Adult, Male

Captain Jack has never found a lap that he doesn’t love! He’s an exceptionally affectionate 4-year-old that enjoys morning ear scratches and all-day petting. Captain was a adopted from AFRP as a kitten, and he returned to our care when his guardian had to move and could not take him along. This sweet cat has always struggled with eye issues – he has some scarring from a ruptured cornea in one eye, and he has chronic tearing and discharge from both eyes. He has seen a specialist and has been diagnosed with FHV-1 (feline herpesvirus) which can be managed but not cured. He will do best in a happy, stress-free environment, and flare-ups might need to be treated with antibiotics or antiviral medication over his lifetime. This extremely special companion will reward you one hundred-fold for your love and care. You will know he is happy and relaxed when you get a quick little peek of his tongue sticking out! To learn more or arrange a meeting, please fill out an online adoption application. In order to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we are currently adopting only to residents of Monterey County, CA.
