Shelters are scary, loving heart homes are not.

By opening your home to a foster pet, you are providing more time and opportunity for the pet to find its new home, while creating space for another at-risk animal at the shelter. Can you share your home? If so, please reach out by filling out one of our dedicated foster applications

Animal Friends Rescue Project does not own a kennel facility and relies on foster homes to care for the majority of dogs and cats in our care. Our foster volunteers are true heroes that provide a loving home environment for the animals that are waiting to be adopted. The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save!  AFRP provides all the supplies you will need for your foster dog or cat, and covers all veterinary expenses.

The following dogs and cats need foster homes. If you are already an AFRP foster volunteer, please reach out and let us know which animal you would like to foster.

If you are not yet an AFRP volunteer, we’d love to have you join us! Once you have filled out a volunteer application and gone through a volunteer orientation and training session, you’ll be ready to foster!

Pets Eagerly Awaiting a Loving Foster Home

If you are interested in providing one of these pets a foster home and are not already a foster volunteer please fill out the appropriate application above. If you're already an approved foster please contact our animal placement coordinator

Weight: Varies
Gender: Males and Females

AFRP is called upon year round to help with adult cats in our local shelters, cats in our community that need new homes, and cats that were previously adopted from AFRP whose guardians can no longer care for them. They typically need a quiet space to recover from the loss of their past home, and they do best in a home setting with lots of love and support. Once they are feeling confident and happy, they are ready for a new family. This is a very rewarding position for cat lovers. The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save.
