Volunteer Spotlight

Cindy Hutcherson

There is a sparkle in the eyes and a warmth in the smile of Cindy Hutcherson that immediately puts you at ease when you meet her. A lifelong animal lover, Cindy also has a wonderful rapport with people, which makes her a valuable asset to our programs.

Many believe that a good adoption follow-up program is key to a successful adoption, and Cindy does a beautiful job making certain that each person who adopts an animal from AFRP has a resource to turn to if they have any questions or concerns about their new pet. She also gets to hear firsthand many happy adoption stories.

"The most rewarding part about volunteering for AFRP is talking to the people who adopt the animals that come to us. I love to hear their warm, wonderful stories of the love they have received from these special animals."

Cindy also loves her role as adoption counselor at our off site adoption events, where she enjoys helping match different people with the many dogs and cats who are looking for a permanent new home.

"My advice to someone who is interested in volunteering for AFRP would be to get to know the animals. Once you become acquainted with the cats and dogs that come to us, you will find a way to help them."

Thank you Cindy, for all you do to help Animal Friends Rescue Project!
