Looking For a Home

Schultz is the perfect dog for an active household! He is fun, frisky and always ready for an adventure. He loves everyone he meets and gets along beautifully with other dogs. In fact, Schultz loves the company of other dogs so much, we are hoping he'll go to a home with at least one other active pooch for him to romp and play with!

Schultz is a 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer and weighs about 18 pounds. He originally came to us from the San Jose Shelter after losing his home. Now he's in foster care in the Santa Cruz area and is hoping that he'll find his human playmate soon!

Schultz is a good boy and already knows so much. He's a great leash-walker and is house-trained and crate-trained. He's so smart and athletic, we know he'd make a great candidate for agility training or fly-ball competition. He loves his doggie toys and is one happy boy when stuffed animals and tennis balls are nearby. He is a specialist at fetching!

Schultz is just one of thousands of animals AFRP have rescued since 1998.
AFRP has a lifetime commitment to every animal that comes into our care. We do not put animals down because they have been with us too long or have special medical needs. Schultz is anxious to find a permanent home because although he is off the streets and safe--he'll quickly tell you that being an orphan is not fun. He wants to find a special family to call his own.
AFRP depends on volunteers and donations from the general public to rescue approximately 1,900 dogs and cats each year. Won't you help us save more dogs like Schultz?
