Looking For a Home

According to Webster's, "Mojo" means a magic spell, hex, charm or magical power. It certainly seems to be the perfect name for this seven-month-old kitten who despite his tough start in life, has met his challenges with patience, strength and grace. Everyone who meets Mojo marvels at his affectionate and happy-go-lucky personality.

Born to a undernourished stray mom cat, Mojo was left vulnerable to a terrible infection when he was a very young kitten. Despite being treated with a series of medications, Mojo's right eye was severely damaged and eventually needed to be removed. Though his left eye is somewhat malformed, he still has some vision on that side.

Now in foster care, Mojo has worked his magic on his foster family. They report that he is an amazingly confident and happy little guy. All he wants to do is play, play, play! He is a high energy cat and enjoys persuading other cats to join in the fun. He loves being with people and is also very comfortable with dogs. Mojo is content when held in your arms, holds still for nail-trims, and does settle down for a cat nap or two - but most of the time he's busy exploring, pouncing, prowling and enjoying every moment of each day.

Mojo had a stretch of bad luck, but that's all behind him. All he's missing now is a home of his own. Because of his limited vision, Mojo will need to be an indoor-only cat. Are you the special someone Mojo has been waiting for? If you are interested in learning more about Mojo, please call 831-333-0722 or fill out an online adoption application.

Every Life Counts

Onyx is just one of thousands of animals AFRP have rescued since 1998.

AFRP has a lifetime commitment to every animal that comes into our care. We do not put animals down because they have been with us too long or have special medical needs. Mojo is anxious to find a permanent home because although he is off the streets and safe--he'll quickly tell you that being an orphan is not fun. He wants to find a special family to call his own.

AFRP depends on volunteers and donations from the general public to rescue approximately 1,900 dogs and cats each year. Won't you help us save more cats like Mojo?
