Looking For a Home

Gladys spent her entire life providing companionship to an older couple who loved her dearly. When her mistress became ill, Gladys seemed to know what was happening, and stayed by her side, providing peace and comfort until the end.

Now Gladys is hoping someone will return the favor. She's an extremely sweet and affectionate 12-year-old gray tabby who is happiest sitting on a lap, being stroked and brushed. The attention you give her is always returned with grateful purrs! She likes to follow you around the room, and then lead you to her food dish when it's time to eat. Non-demanding and easygoing, Gladys is the ultimate lovable, friendly companion cat.

Gladys has recently been to the vet and had complete blood work done. She is in perfect health for a kitty of her age. She would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a quiet little friend. Gladys would be happiest as a single pet - other dogs and cats make her a bit nervous. She has lived as an indoor/outdoor cat in the past, and would be happy to be an indoor cat with access to the outdoors in a safe setting. Let us know if you would like to meet Gladys!

Every Life Counts

AFRP has a lifetime commitment to every animal that comes into our care. We do not put animals down because they have been with us too long or have special medical needs. Gladys is anxious to find a permanent home because although she's off the streets and safe--she'll quickly tell you that being an orphan is not fun. She wants to find a special family to call her own.

AFRP depends on volunteers and donations from the general public to rescue approximately 1,900 dogs and cats each year. Won't you help us save more cats like Gladys?
