Meet Scout!

Scout is an exceptionally friendly, playful one-year-old lab/shepherd mix. He weighs about 50 pounds. Scout came to us from the Monterey County Animal Shelter when he was at risk of being euthanized becuase the shelter was full.

Scout is excellent with kids 6 and up, but is probably too rambunctious for children younger than that.

He is currently enrolled in basic obedience classes and is learning to come, sit, lay down, and stay. He is proving to be a quick learner, eager to please, and very intelligent.

Scout is very affectionate and never tires of giving and receiving love!

Scout loves playing with dogs of all sizes big and small. He attends obedience class with his friend, Zoey who is also available for adoption.

Scout is a great dog. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and a rewarding life long relationship, Scout just might be the guy for you. Scout needs to be in a home without cats, but he’d love to have doggy playmates in his new home. He’d also be content as an "only child".
