Animal Friends Rescue Project rescues animals in the most dire need, we concentrate on taking animals from local animal shelters that are at risk of being euthanized. We generally do not take animals from the public but do make exceptions through our Compassionate Surrender Program when we have space available.

Our Compassionate Surrender Program enables us to take dogs or cats into our care on a case by case basis. A donation is requested and much appreciated. The donation will help with the care of your surrendered animal until he or she is placed in an appropriate permanent home and your donation also enables us to rescue even more animals in need. Animals are received on an appointment basis only after we have determined that we have room for the animal. Please do not bring animals to be turned in to our adoption center.

Please also consider our no cost Stay At Home Rescue program, where we help famlies who need to find new homes for their pets while the pets remain in their care.
