You can help homeless animals by supporting the Monterey Peninsula Foundation's 2010 Birdies for Charity fundraising event taking place at the 2010 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament February 11-14. 100% of all collected pledges will go directly to AFRP, with a 10% match from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation!
Here's how the program works:
Make a pledge or a flat donation:
You can pledge one cent or more per birdie scored by PGA Tour players during the tournament (number of birdies at last year's tournament was 1,755), or you can pledge a flat donation of at least $20. Once you pledge, you will be eligible to win some great prizes awarded through weekly random drawings, including
• A one-night stay at The Inn at Spanish Bay and golf for two at The Links at Spanish Bay
• An FC Gold Pride soccer jersey autographed by Brandi Chastain
• Waterford crystal
• Autographed golf memorabilia
Guess the Birdies Contest:
Each person who makes a donation has the opportunity to guess the exact number of birdies that will be scored during the tournament. One lucky person who guesses correctly will win the Grand Prize of two round trip Continental Airlines Tickets (up to $500 each), and a World Golf Village Vacation Package in St. Augustine Florida, valued at $1,200!
It's easy to pledge to Animal Friends Rescue Project:
- Go to the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am website to make an online pledge. (Online donors should email us their birdies guess, and we’ll submit it on their behalf on an official pledge form).
- Stop by the AFRP Adoption Center, 560 Lighthouse Ave, in Pacific Grove to pick up an official pledge form.
- E-mail us with your address, and we'll mail you an official pledge form. All pledges must be received by February 10, 2010.
