Chloe sponsor me Chloe is a gentle 4-year-old tortie Ragdoll mix with blue eyes and a soft coat in shades of white, mocha and apricot. She came to us from the Monterey County Animal Services. Chloe has dark markings over her eyes that make her look like she's frowning, but she's never mad. You won't find a sweeter cat anywhere! Chloe is a lap cat who loves to curl up next to you, and adores being stroked and brushed. She loves being an indoor cat and has no interest in going outside. Chloe does have a little bit of tearing from her eyes that occasionally needs to be wiped with a warm cloth. She loves people but is not fond of other cats and would do best as a single cat in the home. She is currently in foster care in Pacific Grove, let us know if you'd like to meet her! Sponsored By: Galen Reese |
Mabel sponsor me Mabel is an endearing senior kitty who is well over 10 years old. She was picked up as an abandoned stray and was in such poor condition the Salinas Animal Services contacted us to see if we could help. She was very thin, had very few teeth, and her coat was extremely poor due to an infestation of mites. After spending weeks at the vet clinic being treated, Mabel is now available for adoption. Her coat is improving, and with some TLC Mabel will be soft and fluffy once again. Despite all she's been through, Mabel has a perky and spunky little personality. She has lots of love to share with someone who has a soft spot for senior kitties. If you need Mabel as much as she needs you, pay her a visit at the Posh Pets adoption site, 160 Fountain Ave in Pacific Grove. |
Rudy sponsor me With big green eyes and a soft cloud of silky pale orange fur, it's easy to fall in love with Rudy. He's a friendly 5-year-old who is a total lap cat. He enjoys being petted and stroked and appreciates being brushed to help keep his coat in good shape. Rudy has lived with other cats and gets along just fine with them, but would also be happy as a single cat in the home--having all the attention for himself! He enjoys romping and playing with catnip mice and feather toys. Rudy is in perfect health and would love to join your family. Meet him at the Posh Pets adoption site, 160 Fountain Ave in Pacific Grove. |

Tyra sponsor me Tyra is a sleek and shiny 2-year-old tuxedo cat with cute little freckles under her nose. She came to us from the Salinas Animal Services after coming in as a stray. Tyra was fairly timid at first, but she has gained confidence now that she is used to being at the adoption site. She might do well with another friendly cat that can serve as a mentor to her. Tyra is very sweet but will need a patient adopter who can give her time to adjust to a new home. She'll do best starting out in a small room and slowly expanding to the rest of the house. An adult home would be best. Meet Tyra at the Posh Pets adoption site, 160 Fountain Ave in Pacific Grove. |
Zoe sponsor me Zoe is a nice little brown tabby, about 1 year old. She came to us from the Monterey County Animal Services after coming in as a stray back in December. Zoe has a very expressive little face--one look and you just want to pet her and tell her everything is going to be okay. She has a sweet personality and appreciates gentle petting and soft words of encouragement. Zoe gets along fine with other cats. She'll probably do best in a fairly quiet home while she adjusts to her new life in a home of her own. Meet Zoe at the Posh Pets adoption site, 160 Fountain Ave in Pacific Grove. |

Bocelli Bocelli is an extra-special 6-year-old Seal Point Siamese who is completely blind. Arriving at the Salinas Animal Services with severely damaged eyes, the vet determined that both needed to be removed. Despite all he's been through in the past month, Bocelli has remained wonderfully composed. Each new day, he calmly goes about the business of finding his way in a world without light--but a world which is still rich with sound, smell and touch. He's adapting beautifully. Bocelli will need a safe, indoor home with an adult adopter. We can provide more information about living with a blind cat. Meet Bocelli at the AFRP Adoption Center, 560 Lighthouse Ave in Pacific Grove. |

Outdoor Cats Do you have a ranch, barn, greenhouse, workshop or studio that could be a safe haven for a feral cat or two? We often have a few cats in our care who have lived their whole lives outdoors, and are not comfortable in our adoption center. They will have already been spayed/neutered, and immunized. If you can provide food, water and shelter for feral cats who needs a safe, secure outdoor home, please contact us. We recommend a good cat fencing system that can be used for outdoor cats or for your indoor cats who want a safe outdoor adventure. Read more about cat enclosures. |

She is very affectionate and will meet you at the door and follow you around from room to room while talking in meows to you. She enjoys curling up with you and loves to play with her toys. She is very curious and would best enjoy a home where she is indoors, but may ask for an occasional outdoor excursion. Orange would do best as an only pet but with adjustment she gets along with other cats. She is healthy, spayed, vaccinated, with vet records. Our new landlord will not allow Orange to come with us. If interested please call 831-621-6174 or email Hannah. |

Cherry Cherry has had a rough time. This sweet 18-month-old calico was abused by some teenagers who kicked her in the head. She has some damage in one eye, but has some sight left in it. Thanks to the kindness of Dr. Moran and his staff at Family Pet Care in Hollister Cherry is now healed and ready for a home. She is a little scared after her ordeal and would do best in an adult home as a single pet. Cherry is spayed and is current on vaccinations. In order for her to recover and blossom, she urgently needs to leave the caged environment of the vet clinic. To help Cherry please call Family Pet Care in Hollister, 831-637-7387. |

Spike Hi, my name is Spike. My owner has passed away and the house is so lonely without her. I miss her so much. I look forward to having the family come over to feed me and brush me, and in return I lay in their laps and purr to show my love. I'm about 13-14 years old. I was in a cat fight once and contracted FIV, so I can't be around other cats or go outside anymore. My owners family can't give me a home, but they are willing to help pay my food expenses, they just don't want me sent to kitty heaven. If you can give me a warm loving home, please call them at 831-443-4286 or send them an email. |
Leo Leo came to our house on a rainy night and we have been taking care of him until we can find him a good home. He is extremely sweet and loving. He enjoys curling up on your lap or sitting by your side as you watch television. We already have 5 cats and Leo would prefer to be the single feline in a loving home. He is litter box trained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. If you can give Leo a good home, please call 831-484-7910 or email Barbara. |
Jeffrey Jeffrey is a beautiful 3-year-old orange tabby with a mellow personality. He weighs about 13 pounds and is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Jeffrey is very loving and enjoys attention. Elsa Elsa is a sweet abandoned tortoiseshell cat looking for a place to call home or barn. About a year ago, she welcomed us to the neighborhood by delivering a hunted bird to our doorstep. She had been left behind by a former neighbor and was living nearby. Timid at first, she warms up quickly and loves affection. She's about five years old and has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations and flea treatment. She would be happiest in a home with unlimited access to the outdoors. For more information, please call 831-419-8360 or email Katie. |
Buddy Buddy is a very attractive longhaired orange tabby who has been living as a stray in our neighborhood. We have been feeding him, but he doesn't get along with our cat, so we are trying to help him find a loving home of his own. He is neutered. We think he's been a house cat before, and deserves a chance to have a home once again. He'd probably do best as a single cat. It's tough living outside on your own. Can you give Buddy a chance? For more information call 831-462-4912 or email Jeff. |
Baby My name is 'Baby' but as you can see I'm a big cat. I'm about 2 1/2 years old and I'm a spayed female longhaired orange tabby. My owner says I'm very independent with a regal disposition! My owner is 96 years old and lives alone--talk about independent--she's having more difficulty taking care of me and wants to find a loving home for me. I've always been an inside cat and can be a bit shy with strangers at first. I'm full of fun and playfulness, and have a soft, quiet meow. I love to get on your lap in the evenings so you can brush me, but I don't need constant attention. I can be sensitive to your moods, and will be a good friend and companion. I haven't been around children before. Please contact Natalie at 831-626-9370 for more information. Speak clearly as she is hard of hearing. |

Bucky Bucky is sweet and wonderful cat who survived a tragic mishap--he was a stray with a jar stuck on his head. He showed up on my doorstep dehydrated, malnourished and needing help, and I nursed him back to health. Now he's a cuddly, friendly cat who wants to be a lap cat. When I took him to the vet for his shots, he tested positive for FIV. I'm looking for a loving, indoor home for this very special cat deserving of a loving home. For more information please call 831-656-9866 or email Amanda. |
Grey Kitty Grey Kitty is a sweet, affectionate cat we found as a stray. We cannot keep her but want to make sure she gets a good home. We took her to the vet, and they said she's young and her teeth look good. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is blind in one eye but that doesn't hinder her. All she wants is a home where she can cuddle up and be warm. She's afraid of dogs, so would not like to live with one. For more information please call Deena, 831-372-0305. |
Romeo Romeo is a handsome 8-year-old orange tabby. He is a very sweet and affectionate cat, but like many cats has always been scared of changes and new people. Now that we have a child Romeo tends to spend much of the day hiding in our bedroom. I love him but want him to have an environment where he can be happy and comfortable. We adopted him as a kitten from the SPCA. He is fully vaccinated and in good health. Romeo is very affectionate but doesn't like to be picked up. He never bites or scratches. If you have a quiet, adult home and are looking for a wonderful feline friend, please call 831-566-6294 or email Wendi. |

Mama Mama is about 7 years old. She has a beautiful and unusual black smoke tabby coat and pretty yellow eyes. Mama lost her home when her owners moved and left her behind. She's a reserved but social cat. She would be happiest as an indoor cat where she could get the attention that's been lacking since she was abandoned. She loves people but might do best as a single cat in the family. For more information call 831-751-9392 or email Melissa. |
Sheba Sheba is a 9 years young Flame Point Himalayan with silky fur and turquoise eyes. Her mom is moving away, so she needs a warm and friendly new home. She is mostly an indoor cat, though does enjoy going outside to sunbathe or chase a bird (she never catches!) Though not a lap cat, Sheba does like to sit next to you, and follow you while you do your daily activities. She does like to be the center of attention sometimes. She's spayed and up to date on vaccinations. For more information call Carol at 831-465-1723. |

He is neutered and up to date on immunizations. Please give Bobby a second chance. For more information please call Helen at 831-620-1039. |
Misty Misty is a mellow and gentle 7-8 year old spayed female. Her owner has gone into a nursing home and Misty needs a home. She would be the perfect cat for a retired person looking for company, especially if she could be their one and only cat. She could also learn to live with other cats with patience and time. Misty is well trained, affectionate, undemanding. She's used to being an indoor cat. If you can give this sweet girl the wonderful home she deserves, please call Gloria at 831-659-1941. |
Mimzy Mimzy is a lovely 1-year-old spayed female tabby. She's one lucky cat, thanks to one of the vet technicians in Hollister. She no longer roams the streets looking for food.
