Are you an artist who loves animals? Would you like to help AFRP raise much needed funds to help animals in need?

AFRP’s Art for Animals program is designed to showcase artists’ work on saleable merchandise to raise money for AFRP’s lifesaving work.

How you can help:

Donate an original piece of artwork that you have produced. This piece will be used to generate funds for our programs by being digitized so that it can be put onto T-shirts, mugs, mousepads and other items and these items will be marketed for sale. The original piece of art will be part of a wonderful Artists Reception and silent auction in the fall.

Art will be released throughout the year.

Guidelines:

1. All artwork submitted must be your original work.

2. Art should be centered around an animal theme i.e. dogs, cats, rabbits.

3. Art should be in a form that would be easily reproduced on T-shirts, mugs, mousepads etc… Paintings, drawings, photographs, digital work are good examples.

4. Art should be no smaller than 4x6” and no larger than 16”x22”. Ideal size range would be under 12”x18”. Digital work should be at least 300 DPI.

5. When dropped off, Art should have artists bio sheet attached and release form.

6. Art will be accepted year round but to be included in the current years artist reception must be received no later than July 31, 2009.

7. Art can be dropped off at the AFRP adoption center located at 560 Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove. Hours are Tuesday – Saturday 12-5pm.

How we will promote your work:

1. Your piece will be recognized on the AFRP website with a link to your own site.

2. We will recognize you on the sites where your design is being sold.

3. You will be invited to attend the Artist Reception in Fall 2009 and can bring promotional materials about yourself and your work.
